In this article, we provide specific ideas and strategies based on our combined experience of over 80 years to assist teachers to make the school experience a success for their autistic students. Our autistic students learn best when they feel calm and safe. The challenges of the classroom, as discussed in last weeks article, commonly lead to high levels of anxiety and feeling overwhelmed.
