About Us
Jo Adkins Director
Jo has a background in marketing with a particular passion for brand management. With three young boys Jo's life is busy but she still finds time for her other passion - autism. Her inspiration for Creating Success comes from her eleven year old son who has classic autism, is non-verbal and attends a local mainstream school. Living in Napier Jo knows just how important it is to have access to quality training programmes on autism in the regional centres and she's made it her personal mission to ensure they get it. Jo is the author of three books on autism spectrum disorder - "Practical Communication Programmes","Tips for Toileting", and "Practical Maths Programmes", which she wrote with popular presenter and author Sue Larkey.

Charmaine Brown Director
Charmaine is also a busy mother of three. As a qualified accountant she volunteers a lot of her time as treasurer for a number of organisations with what little 'spare' time she has. Charmaine never saw herself as a company director but her twelve year old son William is such an inspiration to her that she's made it her mission to ensure every parent and professional living or working with children like William are empowered to teach in a way that maximises the potential of these special children.

Both Jo and Charmaine were settlors for the Autism Intervention Trust - a Wellington-based charitable trust dedicated to raising public awareness of autism and intensive early intervention - and remain active members for the Trust. It was after running Sue Larkey seminars for the Trust that Jo and Charmaine decided to pursue a full time business doing just that, and established Creating Success.
